The Ninety-Nine

The American Dream
lies shattered and torn
with broken wings
while they still scorn

Greed consumes them
the puppet-masters
who pull the strings
of the great pretenders.

It is us they rob
These corporate fiends
We’re losing jobs
with hopes, and dreams.

They take our homes
Without a tear
and make more loans
and build more fear

Now we rise up
with steel intent
to end the corrupt
the one percent

We will not relent
till they pay the fines
We are the greater percent
We are the ninety-nine.
